Dino X. Chavez, MBA serves as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of National MGA Insurance Alliance, Inc. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of The Teachers’ Agency, Inc.

Under his leadership, National MGA has grown its agent-partner base to well over 5,000 agents, general agents, and managing general agents, including some of America’s top insurance organizations.

In 1989, Chavez first began his work in the insurance field as a graduate teaching assistant in the insurance department of the University of North Texas, while completing his graduate studies. He began his insurance career in 1994 as an independent agency owner. He recruited, trained, and managed a team of more than 125 independent agents, while working as a Regional Sales Coordinator in association with Aflac.

In 2002, Chavez co-founded The Teachers' Agency, Inc., which specializes in retirement planning for educators.

In 2007, he co-founded National MGA due to a need to supply the quickly expanding agent base developed under The Teachers' Agency with additional products that were larger in scope than the educator market. This expansion has been magnified by the addition of several of the top insurance organizations in America.

Chavez is a Brownsville, Texas native and graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance and Insurance. He is also a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Real Estate and Finance.

Chavez resides in his hometown with his wife, Odelia, and their five children.
